Trevor started practicing as a Sports Therapist at the Billingham Forum clinic in March 2008 whilst also working for Middlesbrough Football Club. Trevor graduated as a Sports Therapist from the University of Teesside in 2007 gaining a First Class Honours degree. Since then he has been employed by Middlesbrough FC first team as a Sports Massage Therapist, undertaken an MSc in Sport and Exercise and has presented at several British Association of Sport and Exercise (BASES) conferences.
As part of his MSc Trevor has researched the Biomechanical causes of anterior knee pain and also the psychological aspects of Sports Injuries. ‘I believe it is important to maintain an athlete’s psychological focus whilst receiving treatment for a sporting injury’.
Trevor is highly motivated and is constantly investigating ways to continue his professional development. ‘I am committed to using evidence based research and am dedicated to helping patients return to their desired level of fitness following an injury’. He developed an interest in Sports Injuries whilst working as a Personal Trainer. ‘My experiences as a Personal Trainer have enhanced my ability to rehabilitate an injury’.
During his academic studies he rowed for the University of Teesside at a number of national events and he also has a huge interest in football, road cycling and mountaineering.
